denaPe keeps a record of money you gave, money you took, and what is still to be returned. This page says what we store and why.
Your WhatsApp mobile number, the name and email you add on Profile, and the accounts you write: amounts, notes, dates, return dates, and the people those entries are with.
If you run a business on denaPe, we also store the business name and the UPI ID you choose to save. denaPe does not hold or receive the UPI payment itself.
Login OTP goes on WhatsApp only, so use the number that has WhatsApp. A pay reminder also goes on WhatsApp to the person who still has to return the money. If that person saved an email, we email them too. If the person who is owed the money saved an email, we email them that the reminder was sent. We do not use SMS.
An account you write alone stays on your book. If you invite someone and they join, both of you see that shared account. We do not sell your number or your records.
We keep the record while your account is active, so the balance stays correct. An admin can deactivate an account. Deactivated users cannot log in.
